We like the length which means we don’t have to bend over unless we want to. We keep a bucket nearby and simply release the weed into the bucket. The prongs are long enough to get the roots of the crabgrass. We liked the first one so much that we purchased and second one, so my wife can join in the fun. The shaft, plunger and prongs are sturdy and should hold up for quite a while. Overall it is easy to use.

I have only used this once and the ground was moist at the time. So surprised when the root came out with the weed! NEVER again will I ever get down on my hands and knees to pull weeds! While standing upright, shove the prongs into the middle of the weed, rotate the weeder to wind the weed and roots around the prongs, pull the weed, roots and all, out of the ground, push the button on top and shoot the weed into the bucket. No bending, squatting, stretching or crawling. Genius!
