OFFICIAL TERMS OF SERVICE & FRAUD MITIGATION PROTOCOLS | Harry Jean

By opting into our Premium Shipping Protection during checkout, you enter into a binding contractual agreement securing coverage for your shipment against logistics anomalies and post-delivery theft. All insurance evaluations and claim approvals are governed strictly by the anti-fraud protocols outlined below.

SECTION 1 – SCOPE OF COVERED INCIDENTS

  • Lost in Transit: A domestic shipment is deemed lost if tracking stalls without an official update for more than 7 consecutive business days past the estimated delivery window (15 business days for international shipments).
  • Damaged Items: Coverage applies if transit forces result in physical destruction or severe damage to the contents, rendering the item completely unusable. Clear photographic proof of both the external shipping container and the internal items is required.
  • Stolen/Porch Piracy: Coverage applies when carrier tracking networks and GPS coordinates confirm a successful delivery to the precise checkout address, but the shipment is removed or stolen from the property boundaries post-delivery.

SECTION 2 – EXPLICIT POLICY EXCLUSIONS

  • Incorrect Customer Address Entries: Delivery errors, carrier misdeliveries, or lost packages caused by customer typographical errors, missing apartment/suite numbers, or invalid address strings finalized at checkout are strictly excluded from coverage.
  • Unapproved Post-Shipment Adjustments: Any logistical failure arising from a buyer directly contacting the carrier to request a package intercept, hold at location, or localized address redirect post-shipment is excluded from insurance eligibility.

SECTION 3 – MANDATORY VERIFICATION & FRAUD MITIGATION PROTOCOLS

To activate a protection payout for an order marked as “Delivered” by the carrier, the claimant must cooperate fully with our underwriting security guidelines. An official courier tracking milestone marked as ‘Delivered’ constitutes definitive legal proof of fulfillment from the merchant.

Any claim that a package is missing despite a confirmed delivery status will automatically be processed under the Theft/Porch Piracy framework.

REQUIRED THEFT DOCUMENTATION:

Because mail theft is a criminal offense under federal and state jurisdictions, all claims filed under the Theft/Porch Piracy provision require the customer to submit verifiable legal proof of the incident. To secure an immediate replacement or full refund, the buyer must provide:

  1. A digital copy or photo of an official Local Police Report explicitly documenting the mail theft at the residence; OR
  2. A formal Mail Theft Complaint confirmation document featuring an authentic tracking/incident case number filed directly with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS).

SECTION 4 – FILING CONSTRAINTS & LIABILITY LIMITATIONS

All claims must be formally submitted to our support team at help@harryjean.com within 14 calendar days from the timestamp of the carrier’s final delivery scan, or within 30 calendar days from the date of purchase if the package is lost in transit. Claims initiated outside this structural window are permanently void. Harry Jean reserves the absolute right to delay final claim adjudication pending the outcome of a formal carrier fraud investigation.

Filing a claim requires the absolute cooperation of the buyer with local law enforcement and shipping carriers. Refusal to provide requested legal or corporate documentation within 7 business days of a support request will result in the immediate and permanent closure of the claim.
